The question: What is the sum and value of a person's life? This is often asked not only by history but by us as we look inward as well as back on the events that have brought us into the now. Some might argue the answer to this query is: not much, while others believe in the fates and serendipity of life and the ability of one person to change the world. In the case of Concetta Elizabeth Ciccarone, both can be said to be true. Her tale spans ninety-four years from the Pepsi Cola factory in Newark, New Jersey, where she was employed as a bottle capper at the age of eight, to the amassing of a fortune. The small boy entrusted into her care is the teller of this tale and the relationship between the two is both adorable and profound as Nana sharpens the child in the ways of lucidity and common sense. TA Ciccarone, both witness and teller of this tale, is no stranger to the unusual and bizarre.
